Why did the Obama administration not insist on safer regulations? Why did they not do proper inspections? This is an Obama problem...

It shows the hypocrisy of Gulf State politicians like Jindal. They love the economic benefits of oil drilling but will not insist that it be done as safely as it is done in Europe.

Closer to shore drilling is far safer than deep-water...as demonstrated by the current catastrophe. Liberal pols insisted the rigs had to be placed in the precarious deep-water locations. See a pattern here, Ken? Highly doubtful--if you were capable of that type of intellectual objectiveness, you would've switched parties long ago.
