this post by Koan tell you all you need to know about his little mind Let's get this clear about FOX and MSNBC: FOX is a cancer and MSNBC is the Chemotherapy. I have been a news junkie my whole life. In fact when I was in college people made fun of me because I watched the Macneil/Lehre report every night (boring-lol). Over that 40 year period the vast majority of the MSM was pablum. The exceptions being PBS / Macneil Lehre, Washington Week in Review and Bill Moyers. Then a few years ago Murdock came on the scene and spewed the most ugly ignorant propaganda all supporting right winger thinking and the Republican Party. It was told Cheney gave instructions that when he got to his hotel he wanted his TV turned to FOX (guess it was too much for him to do himself?). Then, a few years ago, someone/people?, took over MSNBC and started to shape it into an intelligent news program to counter FOX. Mathews, Scarborough and Olberman were already there, but they got rid of Rita cosby and Tucker Carlson. Moved Joe Scarborough to a morning slot (to immulate Imus)and tempered his right wing proclivities with lots of intellectuals and liberals. Then recently they hired more sane intellectuals in Rachel Maddow, Ed Shultz and Dylan Ratigan and an assortemnt of other intelligent newspeople. Rachel Maddow has become hugely popular with women. And is doing a great job educating. In over 40 years, I have never seen any news program as intelligent, candid and educational as MSNBC. So liberals should be supporting it. And if anyone knows of a better news program speak up or forever hold your tongue. If you do not like MSNBC, remember there is nothing better because the human condition is dismal. Message 26574973
