Make me program director, and you will.
I'd start by dumping Matthews and Schultz, and getting Dylan off of speed.

Oh come on. Most of us like MSNBC because they more closely reflect our political views but overall they do a lousy job covering the world because they have almost no reporters.
Plus they are owned by one of the world's largest conglomerates, GE. So they are going to ignore many issues that would displease their corporate owners. Ownership does make a difference.
They are also going to go easy on Democrats and hard on Republicans, even when the Democrats sometimes deserve a good trip to the woodshed.

Get your news from a variety of sources including the web.
It ain't easy because starting with Reagan we have had a wave of news company consolidations the likes of which the world has not seen since the Commies took over Russia.
GE
Disney
Viacom-Paramount
Murdoch's Evil Empire
Time Warner
ClearChannel (Radio)

I would estimate there are 60% fewer news reporters covering the world now, than there were 20 years ago. But we think we are well informed since there are so many 'outlets'. Problem is, many are spewing the same dope.

There's room for HUGE improvements at MSNBC.
