"The statute requires proof of a "promise". Was there a "promise"?" You're grasping at straws, Kenneth. Is there any doubt that there was attempt to sway Sustek away from running? If you say "yes" you're being naive. Can it be prosecuted? Maybe not. But, did it happen? If you think it didn't happen, you wouldn't be trying to parse the law about it.
