koan, we have no way of knowing what you did or suggested be done during the Exxon Valdez disaster. Going by your assertion that you played a significant role in the cleanup, did you know that the MMS was indulging in these activities? Would you happen to know what the recommendations were (lessons learned)?

It is easy to hurl accusations and do Monday morning quarterbacking, James Carville included. The reason I am convinced that Carville is a ass is because like the Bush folks, he was also in a position of power. When he was there, what did he do to strive to lay the foundation to ensure that such a calamity did not happen. If Carville thinks he is trying to imitate the Bush moment with his bull horn after 9/11, he just comes across as a politician who is into politics to ensure that he derives the most for his personal benefit since his is a "not in my backward" approach.
