Well, when those things are added to the fact that BP has, by far, the worst track record as to safety in offshore drilling and has shown a provable marked tendency to cut corners, your dogmatic statement rings more than a little hollow.


There is nothing dogmatic about wanting to wait until the facts are in. Neither you nor I knows whether BP has done anything for which they should be bashed. Maybe they have, maybe not.

What IS true is that they have already spent better than a billion dollars in trying to undo this damage, and are clearly committed to many billions more.

Down the road we'll find out, if we're lucky, whether anything BP did was at the root of this accident. We just don't know. You don't. I don't.

You and others here want to crucify BP for one reason only -- they are a big, rich oil company and therefore are the evil enemy.

If you'd use your OWN mind for a change, rather than nodding your head in agreement with the inept nitwit in the White House, maybe you could look more rationally at this.
