Mike,

Craig, I'm kind of ashamed of you impregnating carbon fibers. Do the right thing and marry it.

I may love the sector, but it's a different kind of love, but thanks for the advice. <G>

Did a little digging last night to answer my question about who is doing the plurality of carbon fiber with vehicles and this one popped up.

gurit.com

It happens to be a publicly traded Swiss company, which I thought you might find interesting. And they aren't exactly fly-by-night as they were founded in 1835.

Apparently the problem with impregnating color into the fiber is that you don't get that class 'A' finish that everyone at the high end demands, although Gurit, working with Dupont, seems to have come up with some sort of less expensive workaround.

They've got a pretty informative website. I was surprised. I didn't think that the Swiss were that open.

I tell you though, getting educated about this business by reading various articles(compositesworld.com is good) is enough to put a loaded crack addict to sleep, which I guess is want you want if you are a contrarian investor. <g>
