Well, it is hard for me to argue with your logic and knowledge. And I agree with you completely about not hiding under my bed worrying about terrorists.

So I will defer to your knowledge.

To be honest, I am more concerned about general ocean pollution like the large garbage dump in the Pacific, acidification and global warming.

The 2010 arctic ice melt has already intersected the record 2007 arctic ice melt. For two years now alaska has had record warmth and the arctic sea ice is really melting fast as are our glaciers.

Arctic pack ice will be gone in just a few years it looks like which will dramatically change the worlds climate.

The reason the east coast and Europe got hit so hard last winter, as I understand it, the increased heat being absorbed by the open water in the arctic is then released in the winter (for the first tme in thousands of years) and it creating a high pressure area that is pushing the cold arctic air down to the eat coast and europe.

Look for another very cold winter on the east coast; and go long heating oil-lol.
