No.. I do understand..

Being aware of the danger though allows for some preparation, no ? Our generation (assuming we are relative contemporaries) and our parent's generation have already lost at least ten years.. maybe more.. just look at the crapola of buy and hold.. nothing better than a crapshoot as too many have sadly found out

as to reset.. The US reputation will be permanently damaged.. Think it will have no lasting effect on your son despite his lack of accumulated wealth ? Think Milton perhaps.. Paradise Lost.. Will reset fix the chit in the US (and other democracies) political systems ?

Hmmm.. Seems that a big problem is many of the boomer generation (I'm 54) saved via their house.. so maybe not much to worry about there either if they are highly mortgaged they have no more to lose than your son... It's already gone...

I've beaten gold handily these last 10-11 years.. The indexes are just wannabees.. but now I think I may no longer beat gold.. and certainly not in a reset.. time to be water again..

I believe reset is the worst solution.. sadly maybe the most likely..
