"Only thing that can save Obama is pushing the notion that the Republicans are worse, but that's a real tough sell these days."

No it isn't. It's been true since Reagan, and is even more true today, now that (R)'s have gone insane. Who's your standard bearer?

"CJ, I thought it was inappropriate for Obama to lecture the country about its addiction to oil while the mess has yet to be cleaned up."

Tenchu, when would be a better time?

"Let's not forget that just a month prior to the spill, Obama publicly announced his intentions for more oil drilling"

Especially in retrospect, he is and has been foolish to try to reach across the aisle. The Republicans never seem to miss a chance to bite his hand.
