Maybe not, but that's completely irrelevant here... offering ANYTHING of value to influence someone from withdrawing from a major political race IS A FELONY!!!

And the only defense they have is by saying, "It has been done before." This is an admission of guilt... there is no discussion here, a crime was committed, the guilty ones must be removed and punished...
