Just to break the tension, while we wait for the numbers, here's a direct quote from the FAQs for Investors on the AOL site, "You are urged to seek professional advice before investing in America Online stock." They don't say what type of professional advice.

What is the relevance of IBM to AOL?
IBM's roots were 30 years before the PC -- in mainframes.
In fact for quite some time it blew PCs; and most recently has stumbled again re. Aptiva. Of course, its biggest mistake was licensing DOS on non-exclusive basis.

The hot PC hardware stocks after Commodore, Atari etc.
have been Gateway, Dell, etc.
