I did some research about real estate in an hyperinflation situation a year ago. Two things caught my eye. The first was that the local government will need lots of tax revenues to keep operating, therefore, real estate tax will rocket and many owners had difficult time to raise that amount of money. Some of them have to borrow again the property to pay the tax. This is some thing need to consider as a factor. The second was the rental properties may face rent control. The landlord may not be able to raise the rent while paying higher property tax taxes. These things had happened during hyperinflation in other countries.
