It sounds like Jerry Sanders needs to stop hanging out at press conferences (hire a damn PR firm to do that). Jerry needs to get on those production lines and get those chips a flyin'. For weeks, I've heard that we're expecting a flood of chips and it just hasn't happened. The best price I can get a AMD 233 Mhz chip for is $359. That's just simply due to supply and demand. Many companies don't even have the chip in stock. Yeah, I can get a 200 Mhz chip for $170, but people want the speed and reliability of the 233 -- especially us over-clockers. But I'm not going to pay that much for it.

I bought into AMD when it was twice what it is today. They lost nearly nine percent yesterday. I'm really ticked off at them and wish they'd get their act together. For a major chip manufacturer, they're acting like they own .1 percent of the chip market (like Alpha). At least Alpha has the help of Intel and both their stocks have been going up. Why? Because they are pressing CPUs like cheap Walmart plastic slippers.

Jerry, here's a hint. Underestimate your earnings and production and offer GOOD news to your stock holders when you exceed your estimations. It makes your stock go up, not down. Scotty did it to Capt Kirk all the time. "I'm givin' you all I got Capt." "We need more speed, Scotty." "Ok, sir, I'll see what I can do."

Get your act together AMD!!!!!
