Bonds will do fine as long as stocks and commodities are doing poorly. But watch out when stocks and commodities rally.

A technical analyst I respect (Rick Ackerman) expects the TNX yield to drop to 2.86% before the run ends. But that level would only be acheived at the final expected stock market low this fall. Meanwhile if stocks bounce the TNX could easily hit 3.5-3.6% before the next leg down.

BTW Ackerman is much more bullish on gold than he is on treasury bonds.
