Construction spending surges in April Construction shot up 2.7% last month by largest amount in almost a decade WASHINGTON - Construction activity surged in April by the largest amount in nearly a decade, as all the major building sectors from housing to government projects showed strength. The unexpected surge could mean that the hardest-hit sector of the economy is starting to recover. The Commerce Department says that construction shot up 2.7 percent last month compared to March. It was the biggest one-month improvement since August 2000. Our congress elected by the PEOPLE passed Obamacare (democracy), and the constituion protects gay marriage and does not make abortion illegal. And Bush and the Republican congress had 8 years to do something about the boarder and did nothing. Raygun gave 12 million illegals amnesty and right wingers said nothing about that, but if Obama tries that, the right wing goes crazy. Bush sr did nothing about the boarder. Seems like a double standard to me?
