The other plays I see that are related are Canadian oil sands companies (SU, CNQ and COSWF) and solars. I suspect when the dust settles O and Clowngress will "not let this crisis go to waste", by pumping through some big subsidies for alt energy (whether or not cap and trade gets through).....

US energy costs generally speaking will go up, with the expected affect on GDP.

That's what I'm hoping for over the long run. But if oil prices rise dramatically in the short run, then that should boost their profits in the short run. But who really knows. Change is coming.
