They were attacked by armed thugs. Armed with what? Metal polls and baby formula. And the IDF shit its pants and started to fire. Fuck, unarmed people scared the shit out the IDF. When attacked the response is to defend. It is funny that the IDF were attacking the ship. As you said when attack the response is to defend, so the people on the ship grabbed anything not bolted down and started to hit armed IDFs. The cowered IDFs started shooting instead of fighting like men. Unless you are Hamas or Hezbollah . Then you hide behind women and children. If true, the must have learned it from the IDF.
