WIND/I2O

Darryl,

Thank you for the article. The last two paragraphs were very exciting to read. This is the first time I have seen WIND's IxWorks mentioned as the PRIMARY FACTOR used in I2O development decisions, regardless of chip. As you said, this has been something discussed for 18 months on the Wind thread, yet is extremely nice to see it mentioned in a technical magazine.

Regards,
Jason

Darryl,

thanks for the post.

This may be slightly off topic but with all the sabre rattling between SUNW and MSFT, it appears that Intel, with the I2O special interest group, may be more of a threat to SUNW's hardware domain than MSFT. Then again, I may be comparing apples to oranges due to my lack of technical background.

Your thoughts?

Ramsey
