Hi goldsnow,

Thanks for the URL. I have been thinking along the same lines as the author of that article. To me, however, gold was hit by

1. negative perceptions carried over from the Cartaway swindle and Timbuktoo fraud of early 1996;
2. the Bre-X fraud;
3. the Golden Rule/Hixon Gold fraud;
4. the Del Gratia scandal;
5. European Central Banks Gold sales;
6. Australian Reserve Bank Gold sale;
7. the impending Swiss Gold sale and yet more European CB Gold sales;
8. collusive activity of western governments to keep the price of gold down in order to fulfill certain politico-socio-economic agenda;
9. and lingering and pervasive negative market sentiments arising from 1 to 8 above.

Now many folks find themselves between the devil and the deep blue sea. They don't know whether to cut themselves loose from gold stocks or not. On the other hand, there are those (like me) who have already sold off half in order to have some cash for picking up more gold stocks later on.

BTW, my sense of humour is fine. In the past, when I went out like a hale-and-hearty and a sort of back-slapping guy, things backfired on me on one occasion. Veiled threats were made by one super-sensitive wannabe-macho-AK47Rifle(or machine gun)-toting revolutionary guy who hurled one insult after another. So, this time around, I sort of played it by ear, just in case......., if you know what I mean. Of course, I am also aware that some people seem to thrive on confrontations of sorts.

Have a nice day.

Richnorth

P.S. Hey, I like "goldsnow". It is suggestive of gold flakes ashowering like manna from above. May we all be showered with gold flakes in the little while! To be sure, we need sustenance badly.
