Lev - Re: "Is there a 166 K6? I thought they only make them in 200 and 233 versions"

This month, AMD made 166 K6's.

Last month AMD made 200 K6's

The month before that they made 233 K6's

All told, they have made 599 K6's in the past 3 months, or so it seems.

It's hard to equal Paul's answer to your question, but AMD can get a 166 version by using a partly defective faster version that doesn't meet full specifications at the higher speed, but works OK at lower speeds. They can also put in a faster chip and call it a 166, if that's what the market wants.
