As long as there are weapons (i.e WMD)in the Gaza it plays into the hands of Israel as they can claim 'we are defending ourselves', so I assume Israel let those weapons sneak in. Not that I am saying the Gaza folks shouldn't have some weapons, just saying it helps Israel make up claims of defending themselves. Something they have in common with America.
