Brumar, check the polls. She is only popular among Rs.....not Dems or independents. Lots of people view her as having the same values they do, as being more a 'real person' compared to most politicians, and feel the attacks on her from the left are mounted laregly because she embodies what ordinary conservative-centrist Americans are and think. She's no more real than anyone else....just another American....and not a very good one at that. You should ask yourself why she IS popular. I don't have to ask because she's not.
