I haven't seen any leaks about the cause of the conflict in Afghanistan between the Marines and the Army Commanders. But I suspect it is mainly over the timid ROE's the Marines get from McCrystal.

Some come to fight and win. Some come to get their time in.

Marines were not impressed with the Army, Air Force and Brits occupying the Green Zone and their goal of avoiding combat.
