Mohan,

I read your post earlier today, and I thank you for posting. I strongly believe that it is important that we always hear different points of view.

As for my analysis, I am going after every ripple, however small it is. I would guess that I mainly concentrate on the very short term of 1-5 days, actually it is closer to 1-3 days.

I am truly not a BEAR or a BULL or CONTRARIAN. I have a specific mechanical system that really does not use any fundamentals in the actual calculations. Once my TA calculations, I then will add some fundamentals as an adendum. For example, if I know that economic news is coming out I may step aside even if my TA says to step in.

I will be the first to state that TA has its limits. The further out you go with a TA analysis the accuracy declines. Just purely from a mathematical viewpoint, the longer the term = greater number of variables = worse BETA factor.

My TA system works best on indexes. Indexes are averages and with their inherent diversification of many individual stocks, the effects of fundamental changes of an individual stock to the overall index is reduced.

Very funny! Don't worry, I won't even ask you what you favorite color is. Apparently some people get a bent willy when you try to compare notes :-)

Take care.
