Less, the whole Cash for Clunkers program is similar to that of the $800B stimulus package passed last year. The effect is more for show than anything else. But that could be a good thing if it's aimed at restoring consumer confidence and paired up with a broader set of policies that actually improve the fundamentals of our economy.

The problem is when ignorant people start mistakening these "feel good" programs for real solutions. Of course, Ted doesn't have any real solutions. He's rather just chant "Obama Obama Obama" because it makes him feel better.
