Lin,

I find there are relatively few bugs in SAP, and the known ones are
well documented and corrected promply by SAP through OSS, which is a
server that companies who have purchased the SAP software have access
to.

As far as leaning SAP for a developer, I find that their programming
language - ABAP/4 - is similar to COBOL with perhaps a mixture of
Visual Basic in it. My background was Mainframe COBOL, and I learned
ABAP/4 easily on the job, without taking any courses.
