re: The attempt to Co-op the Tea Party movement...

"I am skeptical of the tea party since it is not controlled by
Ron Paul type libertarians. Too many pro-war, pro-Israel types
like Sara Palin trying to take control. Some of these people
could be worse than even Obama. -- perhaps still another
incarnation of George Bush."

===============================================

Yes, the Republicans are trying to co-opt the
Tea Party movement. With the key word being - "trying."

I've been to 7, or 8 Tea Party events and 3 Town Hall
meetings. The people I've met are driven by principles
and either the support of, or the opposition to individual
bills like Obamacare and Cap & Trade.

The majority of the Tea Party members I've met are sick
of both parties, and are fiercely independent. And you
have to remember that the Tea Party movement was started
by Ron Paul supporters.

And what better way is there to make sure that Sarah Palin
and the Republican Party don't co-opt the Tea Party movement,
than by getting involved with a local group and educating them?

And we're missing perhaps the single most important role
for the Tea Party - finding and supporting candidates for
state and local government.

I've had a blast at every Tea Party event I've been to. Great
conversations on scores of different issues with people who
are both passionate and well informed.

If you've never been to a Tea Party event, you'll have a
great opportunity to do so all across America in about
a month, over the 4th of July weekend. Get online now
and find one in your area and take your whole family.
