Now the spending and deficits largely are a real Obama legacy.

Sure he isn't the only force pushing them up, and sure part of the situation is the circumstance of the time, spending would be up under any president. But its also very true that he pushed spending up more, created a new entitlement that will push spending up for decades to come if its not repealed or changed, and is calling for still more spending.

And not just the spending, more regulation, more intervention, generally a bigger and bigger government, that has more and more control over people's lives. I'd prefer limiting government in terms of power and spending, and letting people have more control over their own lives.
