Hi GZ,

Thanks for that thorough reply. I was one of those who had stopped out of some PMs and then re-deployed the proceeds into the beaten-down energy sector (specifically OII) as well as some UWM and NFLX today. However, I still hold a good portion of my portfolio in the PMs as I was originally thinking that this would be a good hedge.

And, never forget, the PMs have been in a bull market for quite a few years now so I don't want to abandon the miners en masse.

Another thing I want to point out is that during the earlier part of the year, it seemed as if the PMs and the SPX generally followed each other. The two markets didn't follow exactly, but there was a general trend in both going in the same direction more or less.

I'd really like to hear the opinions of the others here who have more experience in this than I do.
