That was very good and very sophisticaed thinking.

Not really so far out at all. Closer to the truth than the reality people run around with in their heads.

Big nails he struck. He is pointing out we do not see reality as well as we should; but we may adapt to it by simply being more prudent, out of fear. I think good employment stays rare and unemployment high. And I see no way to amortize the debt.

The big fear of the baby boomers is now on the back burner as other fears are more pressing and larger. There is some perspective.

But there is also the worry about civil unrest and shanty towns will be a given, IMO. Hoovervilles will return, first along the east and west coast. As he said: "it happened".

Hitler rose to power very largely because Germany was stripped of everything. Keynes warned them.

You can see we are never going back to Ozzie and Harriet or the tranquility of the 50's.

My entire extended family all lives way under their means. For exactly the reasons that fellow pointed out. And so do lots of liberals. What separates us from the right wingers.

Right wingers still buying Dodge Rams and giving no thought to the future. We liberals give some thought to the future.
