tejek, some of my overseas friends wrote to me to compliment the American voter when we elected Obama. They said that it was commendable that in the interest of saving the nation and in a patriotic fervor, the Americans decided to look past race and vote the best person for the job.

When they read that within 2 years, the American voter is likely to vote the Republicans back in during November, they coined that term (United States of A???). Now after they read this story about how low our politics can get, it is likely they may change that to United Super A????

On an Internet political talk show, GOP state Sen. Jake Knotts on Thursday called state Rep. Nikki Haley, a gubernatorial candidate, a "raghead" -- a slur used against Arabs or other ethnic groups who wear turbans -- and talked about Haley's family and her parents' religion.

"We already got one raghead in the White House," Knotts said on "Pub Politics." "We don't need another in the governor's mansion."

I posted that same article earlier. Unconscionable, isn't it? Its 2010 but in SC, they talk like its 1950.

In the past month, two guys have come out and said they had affairs with N. Haley who has been married for 13 years. I have to wonder if these are lies and that they are lying because they don't want a governor who is of Indian descent. It would not surprise me.
