bentway, I understand how you feel. However, I personally couldn't give a rat's ass about honor and pride. Wars should be a last resort period. However, if we have to fight a war, then it should be all out with only one single-minded goal and that's to win and do everything it takes to get that done. Pride, honor, and all that other bullshit has no place in war. That just leads to loss of life. I'll tell you right now, that I'd give up all my honor and all my pride and everything I possess, if I thought it would save the life of a son of mine in war. After watching 5,000 American children die in the last decade in these stupid ass land wars, I just see no sense in it. The only reason you have a land war is if you want to take and hold land to extend your sovereignty or to nation build. We should have neither of those goals. Our only goal should be to wipe out the dead end fuckers to set back their logistical operations. Then every year, we go back in and do it again. It's like the bugs in my house. I wipe them out every quarter. I know it's a never ending deal. So I've committed to a long term contract to get it done every quarter forever. We'd better get used to the idea that these Islamo-fascist dead enders are like bugs that will need to be exterminated periodically. There is no negotiating with Bin Ladin or Zwahiri. And your honor or pride will have no place in getting the job done, if you want to minimize the loss of American life.
