Bob - with the aggressive growth funds taking such a bath this year, maybe there won't be a need for yr end tax selloff though

Bob, I disagree. I think you'll see high teens before the year end, and I don't think ASND will be a buy at 19. I've always been an ASND fan, but facts are facts. There are too many things wrong with ASND right now:

1. Insider selling
2. Management credibility problems
3. Reduced sales
4. Lack of mgt confidence (vs confidence shown by CSCO's mgt)
5. Sector slumping
6. Beat out by CSCO in independent tests
7. Hot cards (the memory remains, even if solved)
8. Technically, the chart has broken down.
9. Investors Business Daily gives ASND 2 out of 99 for price action
10. Investors Business Daily rates E for extreme distribution

I could probably find more negatives; these are the ones that come to mind quickly.

I hate to beat up ASND, but unfortunately, many of us fall in love with a stock and just hang on. Each time ASND dives, there's a post from someone that "this is the bottom". We glean the positive articles or posts to help justify hanging on.

At the risk of making enemies, to me the following is obvious: the best ASND can hope to do is consolidate and base. I just don't see it jumping up. And that means you're money is better off somewhere else, as there is still downside. Yes, there's a possibility of a take over; but now you're gambling, not investing/trading.

I've gotten a lot of good information and news items from this thread. I'm not trying to hype the stock down. I'm just giving my honest opinion.

Good luck to all,

Harry

sorry to disagree but it depends on how you hold the chart, for example try upside down or reverse video, suddenly asnd becomes a buy.

You don't think there has already been a ton of tax selling?

>>>Portfolio managers will dump this one by year end sending it even lower<<<

You really believe most of the fat cats haven't already dumped this stock? Who do you think has been dumping it from 50 down to 24?
