jerald....Hal.....All IDX.....

Not much will ease the pain today......

But the chioce to use DBII input machines was Indiana's....not NEC. I believe that NEC would have supplied the input machines to the state of Indiana if they had been asked to.

NEC did not sell the DBII machines to Indiana....and did not sell their own machines to Indiana.

The news release that NEC put out said that they had sold the afis to Indiana.....not the input devices......We read the release as good news...we were wrong this time. We made the same mistake twice not too long ago on a couple of Morpho Welfare Systems. We shpuld know better.

We should know better to assume that NEC chose to install DBII rather than their own 10-printer....as that would make no sence.

I don't think IDX can be held responible for not announcing a contract that they get, or were even involved in. In this case, it would be like Goodyear announcing that a several hundred vehicle GM run will have Michelins because the customers have requested them.

This is not as big of a blow as we may be thinking........stay tuned.
