What I am saying, is that right now we need to clean up that oil in the gulf and should never have allowed dispersants.

Do you understand why they are using the dispersants......to break up the oil which will be eaten by microbes that live in the Gulf.

That is the first priority at the moment. Everyone needs to focus on it.

It is killing untold animals and destroying the eco system.

That is being done.

The people in France and most of the world pay something like $6 a gallon.

They also rely on nukes. 78% of their heating and lighting comes from nukes. How do you feel about nukes?

You think the oil we got out of the gulf was worth this? We had other options. I don't blame you, I blame the people who would not allow a gas tax. The right wingers.

If we put in a big gas tax tomorrow, we will still be drilling in 10 years....maybe even 20.

A hefty gas tax 30 years ago and we would not have needed the gulf oil. Or not fighting the iraq war, or given trillion dollar tax cuts to the rich and oil companies and corporations.

You may be right....but that's not what happened. We have to deal with the reality that's been dealt us, not the fantasy we wanted.

The right wingers are who is to blame. You might want to keep that in mind.

Ask the wingers on the FAMD thread. They know how I feel about them. <g>
