Or PBS and FOX. You are talking about two very different populations of people. Scientists generally do not watch FOX, they watch PBS, CNN or MSNBC. That is sort of important difference. As it pertains to the sophistication of the thinking involved. The facts and reason used. For example the statistic that only 6% of scientists are Republican and 12% lean Republican. while 80% of scientists lean democratic shows the distinctive difference in populations. And I would maintain that difference reflects education, sanity and an ability to reason.
