You are one of the most intelligent contributors on SI . I know that you understand the role congress played in deficit spending but you are too partisan to acknowledge it. Deficit spending started with LBJ- guns & butter.

The current system almost guarantees we elect nothing but sociopaths for president now.

The last 3 were, and 4 of the last 5 were. Old man Bush was the only one who was not out of the last 5.
