And now a year later, the bear hunter (See post #3. I said it was a year later, didn't I?!! <g>) goes hunting again. Since he's already been to the North Pole last year, he decides to go else where to hunt. But, he likes the idea of walking south five miles, west (or was it east?) for 5 miles and then back north for five miles arriving back where he started. Now where is he hunting?

Mat

(Of course, here he won't find any bears. <g>)

Well, where is the bear hunter starting from?

It's somewhere near the South Pole. He walks 5 miles south to a circle around the South Pole that is 5 miles in circumference, walks along that circle. After completing the 5 miles circle, he walks 5 miles north back to his starting point.

Of course, he can come back next year and walk south to a circle that is only 2.5 miles in circumference and walk around it twice before heading back. And keep doing this year after year with smaller and smaller circles. Unfortunately, it's very, very doubtful that he'll ever see a bear. <g>
