When I had that bug on my notebook, with Avira causing a system error, Microsoft said once I uninstall it to install MSE. And to remove any other anti-spyware software off the system, due to conflicts.

I disable my anti virus software and then run Spybot and Malwarebytes. But maybe I should just be using one package.

I use NOD32 on my notebook now and the OS is stable, don't know what went wrong with Avira. I am thinking of getting rid of the other spyware checkers.

If they are not running at the same time, I don't know why the companies want you to get rid of them.

Thats why my question anyone here having problems with more than one spyware checker.

The pay version of Avira has a more extensive spyware checker than the free version.
