They did relief well in Indonesia water rig--but i think the depth was no where near 5,000 feet.The depth here is a huge problem.
i am reading much on Oil Drum from the pros, and several have argued odds are NOT good--they need at least 5 relief wells to be sure.

Also i read they had to remove their hich sensor equipment due to pressure at that depth below sea.
