Rachel maddow has added a new dimension to news casting by using teaching, while giving the news, as to why something is important. LIke consitutional issues, history lessons, geography lessons, political lessons, etc. She is doing the country a great service by educating her audience; and she has a huge following among women and the gay community which is double good. Because those populations do a better job of learning and helping the country to begin with. More sensitive and compassionate. That is good for the kids.
