Ask yourself the question, if they have the .25u process all ready and running, not some prototype process in santa clara, why would they need to work problems on .35 in the first place.

The prototype .25u process will most likely have worse yields than the .35u process.

Add to that AMD's stmt about flash memory prices coming down, and you are likely to see sizable losses.

Notice Jerry's reason for the loss, Engineering resources not used properly (NOT DON'T HAVE A CLUE TO THE YIELD PROBLEM)

Its pathetic.

And then in Feb they have steeper Intel's price cuts to contend with.
