The government is responsible for the environment. It has taken on this duty by way of the Progressives(i.e. Left) empowering the EPA over the years. He has the regulatory authority behind him and emergency powers available under a national environmental disaster. A true leader would have stepped in, taken over and mobilized the industry experts, workers in the industry, as well as the appropriate military for a quick, decisive response. Petroleum industry workers come under national security. But typical is the liberals who want to control everything, but know nothing.
His response and leadership is FAIL.
