no one but Equis can read >255 files, they refuse to release the info to venders. I assume you convert to metastock format with Q+ giving you 255 in WOW. the parent company Reuthers can be used for >255 files. But I can't imagine anyone using it.

They don't listen to customers, give us direct read. But, I would give MSWIN a full tryout. To me It is best overall package below $500.

Bob-why do you think "elwave probably can't read the new >255 ticker dir structure offered by MSWIN6.x? If that were the case, wouldn't everyone around the world who had MSWIN 6.0 or higher and wanted to use elwave be blocked and therefore elwave would find itself with very few customers (since it only reads metastock and one other), which doesn't seem logical. Elwave instead seems to be plowing ahead. Am I missing something here?

Bob- I emailed elwave and asked them about your suspicion that it would likely not be able to read MSWIN new >255 stock/dir system. They replied as follows "There is no maximum in the number of stocks in a dir using Elwave. As long as it is not a max in the windows environment. Besides, you can always load *.dat files from SCENARIO , option NEW. So, not to worry."------I presume that I therefore have no problem here? Pls advise furthur. regards
