Elroy, the holiday from anti-Semitism is over. What you are seeing now is that Liberals are demanding that Liberal Jews choose between their Liberalism and Israel. If they condemn Israel as too morally impure to support, they can keep their Liberal party membership. Check out Peter Beinart of TNR and reactions to his latest essays.

I think that attitude has become fairly extinct.
