A buy signal could appear, and then again maybe not... if it does materialize, I'll take it because I have no idea how far the markets could run with it... and you may be right, and if so, then I'll certainly get another sell signal soon enough... I just follow my signals...

I respect and value your P&F assessments, but the only problem I have with it is that there is no time component, it measures only price, so in some ways it's like driving down the street while looking through the rear view mirror... my model has a forward looking component and it also measure time forward as well as price, so I have some idea when turning dates are long before we get there and at what price...

And again, here we are at a possible turning date and the market is tinkering with the critical price at that time, this time it's 1049.50...

So, anything could happen here, we may or may not get a confirmed buy signal, and it may or may not be a shorting opportunity, it depends on the market itself... we have to remember that all of our technical toys are not crystal balls, they're only windsocks, they tell us something, but they don't predict...

When I took the sell signal at 1207.30 this market was a raging bull and could not go down more than a few points without exploding higher... that short turned out to be an incredible winner, and it was short during the recent flash crash, and so on... the buy signal off the March 2009 lows also seemed nutty, but it was also a big winner...

So, I really have no clue or any expectations, nor should I, I simply follow the model and I let it surprise me one way or the other, this way I don't have to think, it's really the lazy man's trading model...<g>
