Had eight years but couldn't ever do what he'd promised? (Despite the ELECTORAL COLLEGE LANDSLIDE?)

Then maybe he just never really meant it....

After the FED started cutting rates we saw a BOOM in revenue, yet I don't remember Reagan making a big deal of "balancing" any budgets.

His annual deficits were 3x's Carter's highest, yet he never seemed to do much about it.

And you can't tell me it was just because he was "rolled" by Tip and the Dems. Reagan had a LOT of "goodwill" in the country and if he had wanted to get our finances in order he COULD have.

Reagan started us on this "borrow and spend" path and then when Bush I actually tried to act responsibly by raising taxes to get the deficits down he was PUSHED out.
