Gardenia, here's some history for you. Long long ago there was a war between Japan and the USA. The USA killed swarms of Japanese soldiers, bombed cities galore including Hiroshima and Nagasaki with atomic bombs, the world's first nuclear war which the USA won. The USA then occupied Japan, ordered them around and enforced their new constitution.

<America has provided the security for Japan and all of Europe since WWII. It's small potatoes for the USA to ensure the security of Israel. >

The USA wasn't providing security to Japan. It was occupying it. The people in Okinawa don't want the Americans there, but too bad for them.

Before the war with the USA began, Japan conquered many places in east Asia and the Pacific Ocean. Japan wasn't under threat from them. They needed security against Japan.

Also, the USA hasn't provided the security for all of Europe since WWII. France has their force de frappe and Britain has an impressive submarine force of atomic bomb rockets. Germany has not been noted for being militarily insignificant either. As in Japan, the USA occupied chunks of Germany because the USA defeated Germany, not to provide them security.

The USA certainly helped keep USSR at bay but that was to provide security for the USA, not so much to ensure Germans could have fun on the spielplatz.
