Mike,

Unless you sold the put for 4 1/2 or more, you would lose money. But if you had just bought the stock at 22.5 you would lose more. Risk in selling puts is that if the stock goes up you missed out on a buy. But if you are bullish, selling naked puts is a good side det along with buying stock and calls. Just be certain you are willing to own the stock at the price you sold the puts for minus the premie.
